Well, here is Dope's soon to be released (10-21-2003) cd Group Therapy. First off, all friendships aside, these guys should be bigger then they are. They have the songs, the looks, the presence, they had the backing ....all i could think of is that Edsel pissed off the wrong person along the way. (that?s not too hard to believe) Anyway, I'll move on. Overall a decent cd. Not as raw as their debut but a little heavier then their last release. I can see Sing being the first single from this cd and if it gets any airtime it will be a big hit. (Unfortunately, seeing that it is the farthest from what Dope started out as being)
The cd starts off strong then gets a little boring towards the middle and then just finishes. The sound is nothing you haven't heard before. Think of Cold, Disturbed, Sevendust. If you like Dope you will like this, if you don't like Dope, you won't like this, if you never heard of Dope i suggest Felons and Revolutionaries.
Falling Away - good
Bitch - very good
I Am - good
Motivation - good
Sing - ok (sounds like it will be the first single - kinda incubus sounding)
Now is the Time - ok
Parinoia (unmastered ruff mix) - very good
Bring It On - ok
Another Day Goes By - eh (mellow sounding - see Sing above)
Today is the Day - ok
Burn - good
Easier - good (mellow but still a good song)
So Low - ok
Sing (Alt Version) - (see above)
